“Delayed gratification is intelligent patience”-Jesudamilare Adesegun-David.

The ability to regiment yourself to delayed gratification in the meantime, so as to enjoy greater rewards in the future is a prerequisite for success. Delayed gratification can be described as the process that the subject undergoes when the subject resists the temptation of an immediate reward in preference for a later reward. The ability to endure difficult circumstances and perseverance in the face of delay; tolerance of provocation without responding in disrespect or anger or forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties is Patience.

A lot of people are attached to social services (government-provided services or community services). The rewards are immediate and rapid, and the gratification is faster and quicker but if we have social justice (human rights and equality), we don’t need social services. For he who seeks truth shall find beauty and he who seeks beauty shall find vanity and deceit and he who seeks order shall find gratification.

Being patient is not about sitting down idle and waiting, Patience is all about continuous and consistent actions on achieving the same goal until the best result is patiently achieved. Patience has its own reward, though it might take a longer time to achieve but definitely, there is always great gratification for any patient work done.

Never give up what you want most for what you want today. Be patient with what you want to achieve. No matter how many times situations and people try to push you down, keep holding on. That’s why delayed gratification requires a lot of intelligent patience.
