How much energy should you be exerting?

Energy reflects performance. Performing below your optimal level or staying too long in an over-energized state can make you burnout easily which also can result in a low productivity level.

Conversely, people working below their energy level tend to avoid challenges and easily make excuses.

Here’s a converging point:

Mike Zukerberg reveals that he has multiple same colored T-shirts, explaining the real reason why he wears them, he said, “I really want to clear my life, so I can make as few decisions as possible about anything, except how to best serve this community.”

Having some quantitative analysis of how your energy is used up, is as crucial as a daily bath.

Do we need to wear natives on Saturday? What is wrong if I decide to wear mine on Monday? The element of choice and making decisions is by far the most cause of every drained energy.

The mind is one of the biggest contributors to energy levels. The way we think denotes how well we utilize this energy, which generally has a ripple effect on our productivity level.

It begins with self-reflection; while Ken could be at the height of his performance during the early hours of the day, while on the other hand, Jane could find solace and ease to work at night. However, spending quality time on a task is crucial.

Next is that, you could allocate 65% of your energy to do the most important task on your to-do, which obviously requires more thinking exercise than to do other mundane tasks.

While 15% out of the remaining 35% should be for some self-motivation, to stay refreshed of the energy consumed. Opt for activities that would replenish those energies you’ve used up; one of them is outsourcing.

Time is expensive and energy is limited. It is important to pay attention to what you use your time for and how you use them.
