If you are a windows user and always think of finding new ways to work faster, here some tips for you to make the best of your device and work smart and productively.

  1. Aero-Snap: This trick is good for you if you have multiple windows opened on your PC and want to close them without exiting from each individually. Hold one of the windows on the edge and shake sideways. Once you do, you will notice that all other windows opened on your PC will close automatically. You can undo this process by shaking the window again to restore all closed windows.
  2. Edge Reading View: Windows default browser- Edge- added a new feature that allows you to turn your webpage into reading view mode. The benefit of this feature is that it eliminates several unnecessary displays including ads and makes it easy to digest the content. You can find the reading-view button at the right side of the URL panel of your Edge browser.
  3. Hidden Start Menu: Yes! Windows have a hidden start menu. All you have to do is right-click on the windows icon at the bottom left side of your idle desktop environment.
  4. Increase PC speed: By default, several programs start automatically when you turn on your windows computer. This may reduce the booting speed of your Windows computer. To disable them navigate through the steps below:
  • Right-click on a space on the toolbar pane on your desktop
  • Click on “Task Manager”
  • Click on “Startup”
  • Disable any default program you don’t want to run automatically.

5. Virtual Desktops: We all always desire to have an organized desktop that is well arranged like a library shelf. Plus if you don’t want to use our number 1 then you may immediately check out the virtual desktop feature on windows. What this means is that you can create multiple desktops that hold separate windows and software running at the same time. To access, navigate your Windows PC through the following steps:

  • Click on the task view button on the taskbar (besides the search icon)
  • Click on “New Desktop” (having a “+” sign)
  • You will notice you now have two desktops, you can open more.
  • You can open apps on different desktops and drag one window or app from one desktop into another.
  • To navigate across the desktops click on “CTRL+Windows button+Right direction/Left direction” on your windows computer.

Hope this makes you work faster and be more productive.
